Website Terms and Conditions

A number of people have asked us recently, whether they need to have terms and conditions on their e-commerce website. The short answer is yes. It ensures that there is a clear agreement in place between you and your customers that protects both parties in the event of a dispute. Most customers will be unaffected by terms and conditions, but it is important to make sure that everybody knows where the stand and can be confident that they are being treated fairly.

It is easy to ignore terms and conditions on the basis that they seem like an unnecessary expense, and indeed for very small businesses the cost of hiring a lawyer to draft your T&C's could be considerable.
